Kalama® VITROFLEX® B

Kalama® VITROFLEX® B by LANXESS (previously Emerald Kalama Chemical) is a non-phthalate, benzoate plasticizer based on innovative polymeric technology. It is specially designed for the B (catalyst) side of two-part polysulfide sealants. It has an excellent safety and regulatory profile relative to leading incumbent polysulfide plasticizers, such as benzyl phthalate and chlorinated paraffin. It imparts good rheology for suspension stability of dispersed solids, excellent elasticity and lap shear strength, and fast hardness development (faster curing). It offers excellent performance characteristics that bring value to the critical end uses. Kalama® VITROFLEX® B is suitable for insulated glass seals, construction, transportation, aerospace, and secondary containment. It provides excellent flexibility, adhesion, non-settling (high viscosity stabilization), and equivalent pot life to other common plasticizers. It is listed in 21 CFR 175.105.
