Polycat® DBU by Evonik is a tertiary amine catalyst that strongly promotes the urethane (polyol-isocyanate) reaction. It is used mainly for specialized applications requiring very strong catalysis and these applications include formulations containing aliphatic isocyanates which are much less active than aromatic isocyanates as well as require exceptionally strong catalysts.

It possesses very strong gelation capability and low odor.
It is recommended for evaluation in integral skin semi-flexible foams and microcellular systems.
Polycat® DBU is also used in industrial and construction adhesives.
