Surfynol® 485

Surfynol® 485 by Evonik is a non-ionic surfactant. It is a 100% active, easy-to handle liquid that contains no added alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). It is used in waterborne pressure sensitive adhesives. Surfynol® 485 possesses low foaming characteristics. It offers benefits such as rapid migration leading to low dynamic surface tension, enhanced flow and leveling and stability in high electrolyte and brine systems. It has a shelf life of 60 months. Recommended use level of this product lies between 0.1 to 2%. Applications requiring food contact complies in the US, Europe and Asia.
