Gevo™ High Purity Isobutanol

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Gevo
Isobutanol. Acts as a solvent. It is fully renewable and meets all of the purity as well as performance requirements of isobutanol derived from conventional petroleum sources. Possesses slow evaporation rate. Can replace 100 percent of conventional isobutanol in all applications. Because isobutanol has similar properties to n-butanol, this renewable isobutanol may be used as a cost-effective and renewable n-butanol replacement in many n-butanol applications. Is also a cost-competitive source of renewable butenes and renewable butene derivatives.

Hansen Solubility Parameters

[15.5, 12.5, 6.1]
[δD - Dispersion force interactions, δP - Polar force interactions, δH - Hydrogen bond force interactions]

Please note, these HSP values are estimations. It is based upon the “like seeks like” principle. It splits an ingredients interactions into three parameters; δD (Dispersion force interactions), δP (Polar forces interactions) and δH (Hydrogen bond force interactions). Hansen Solubility Parameters can help you find a wide range of products that are predicted to be compatible with Gevo™ High Purity Isobutanol. A practical determination of these HSP values would provide higher certainty. Learn More.
