Ammonium polyphosphate. Acts as a flame retardant. It is produced by a special process which gives very uniform fine particle size and phase II crystalline form with high degree of polymerization (n>1000). It is almost insoluble in water and completely insoluble in organic solvents. It is compatible with polyethylene, polypropylene, elastomers, unsaturated polyesters, epoxies, phenolic resins and polyurethanes.
