Higree™ CL1106

C5 hydrocarbon resin. Acts as a tackifier. It is a low molecular weight, thermoplastic resin produced from aliphatic petroleum-derived monomers. Higree™ CL1106 has good compatibility with base polymers such as styrene block co-polymers (SIS, SBS & SEBS), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), polybutadiene (BR) and natural rubber (NR). Offers low VOC, low odor, light color, excellent heat resistance as well as water resistance and good infinity with a wild range of fillers. It enhances wetness in pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) which is composed by tackify resin, modified elastomers, plasticizer, filler and solvent. It is a better choice for hot melt adhesives due to its good tack and cohesive properties. Used for applications like packaging tapes, labels, solvent based adhesives, bookbinding, packaging, and asphalt modification.
