SpeedBlock AO2

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Lambson (Sartomer)
SpeedBlock AO2 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydro-cinnamate)]methane. Acts as a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. A non-polluting, non-toxic antioxidant with good heat and water resisting performance. It is a highly efficient and non-discoloring stabilizer for plastics, synthetic fibres, elastomers. It works by trapping free radicals formed upon heating in the presence of oxygen and prevents the change of the resins mechanical properties. It can be used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilisers (eg phosphites, phosphonites), light stabilizers (see the Speedblock product range) and other functional stabilizers. Used in adhesives. Recommended concentrations of 500 ppm to 2000 ppm of Speedblock AO2 should provide long thermal stability to the polymer. For polyolefins, use between 0.1% to 0.4% depending on substrate.
