Preventol® DBC

Preventol® DBC by LANXESS is a universal, in-can preservative. It is a light-colored, aqueous dispersion of the biocidal active ingredients dibromodicyanobutane (DBDCB) and two isothiazolinones, BIT and CMIT/MIT [3:1]. It offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold, fungi and yeasts. It provides alkaline stability up to pH 9 & thermal stability up to 55°C. It is formaldehyde-free grade. It contains no organic solvents or VOCs. Therefore, this preservative is particularly suited to applications in which products with a low or zero VOC content are to be protected. It is designed for use in polymer emulsions for the production of building materials for indoor use such as adhesives. It is used in plasters & synthetic adhesives. The shelf life of Preventol® DBC is 1 year.
