LAVIOTHIX® P1

LAVIOTHIX® P1 by Laviosa Minerals is an activated, white bentonite clay of purified smectite group with 98% montmorillonite content. Acts as a rheology modifier and an antisetting agent. Suitable for water borne formulations that forms non-transparent gel. LAVIOTHIX® P1 can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pregel at 3 - 4 %wt. Provides stability, enhanced texturing, stippling effects, viscosity and adhesion control. It will hydrate when added to water. Shows gel formation properties at low or high shear. It is used in adhesive applications. Complies with ISO 9001 regulation. The dosage level of this grade is 0.5 - 5.0% by weight. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
