GUARD DOG™ UV328

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by M Chemical
2-(2’-Hydroxy-3,5’-di-t-amylphenyl)benzotriazole. Acts as a UV light stabilizer. It has exceptionally strong and broad-range of UV absorption properties in 270 - 380 nm region with low color contribution. Provides excellent protection to plastics. It has high degree of inherent light stability and low volatility. It helps to preserve the original appearance and physical integrity of polymer systems during outdoor weathering. This product may also be used in conjunction with other light stabilizers of HALS class to give plastics a superior protection against gloss reduction, cracking, color change, blistering, chalking and delamination. It is only recommended for room temperature and low temperature cured formulations such as air dried alkyd or moisture cured PU based systems. Exhibits excellent compatibility with styrene, acrylic, PVC, PU, polyolefins, unsaturated polyesters, PVB, polyacetals, elastomers and engineering polymers. Recommended dosage rate for plastics is less than 1%.

Hansen Solubility Parameters

[18.2, 3.7, 3.9]
?
[δD - Dispersion force interactions, δP - Polar force interactions, δH - Hydrogen bond force interactions]

Please note, these HSP values are estimations. It is based upon the “like seeks like” principle. It splits an ingredients interactions into three parameters; δD (Dispersion force interactions), δP (Polar forces interactions) and δH (Hydrogen bond force interactions). Hansen Solubility Parameters can help you find a wide range of products that are predicted to be compatible with GUARD DOG™ UV328. A practical determination of these HSP values would provide higher certainty. Learn More.
