Silquest™ Y-15744

Silquest™ Y-15744 by Momentive Performance Materials is an adhesion promoter. Suitable for concrete, difficult and low polarity substrates. It has moderate hydrophobicity with little impact on the formulation curing rate, co-catalytic effect. It has ability to improve wetting properties even on substrates with low surface tension and strong, weather resistant bonds. It can help in enhancing the compatibility between the resin and the fillers. This can result in an increased transfer of mechanical strength from the mineral to the formulation. Provides better tear resistance and higher toughness. Silquest™ Y-15744 is used in moisture curing formulations such as hybrid or silicone-based sealants and adhesives. The recommended dosage level is 0.5-1% depending upon the total formulation.
