Antimony trioxide. Acts as halogen synergist fire retardant and smoke suppressant. It does not react as flame-retardant directly but used as synergist to enhance the activity of halogenated flame-retardant by stepwise releasing the halogenated radical to retard gas phase chain reaction of flame spread. Used in textiles as well as in adhesives.
