Alcogum® L-251

Alcogum® L-251 by Nouryon is hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsion. It is designed as a temperature stable thickener for the paper industry. It offers medium brookfield viscosity, low hercules viscosity and high water retention. It permits to build more water retention while maintaining lower Hercules high shear viscosity as compared to synthetic and cellulosic thickeners. Alcogum® L-251 provides stable viscosity over a broad pH range and resistance to biological degradation.
