SABO® STAB UV 228 50PP

Technical DataSheet | Supplied by Sabo

SABO®STAB UV 228 50PP by Sabo is a mixture of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl-hexadecanoate and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl-octadecanoate (25%) and hexadecyl 3,5-bis-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoate(25%) in polypropylene carrier (50%). Acts as a light stabilizer blend. It has synergistic performance with high molecular weight HALS and UV absorbers. Imparts superior solubility and compatibility with polyolefins, for low VOC/FOG requirements and fewer problems relating to exudation (“blooming”) than other low molecular weight HALS. SABO® STAB UV 228 50PP outperforms other HALS in polyolefin substrates in terms of color stability, gloss retention and mechanical property retention. It provides easy handling and dosing in polymer processing operations. Used in PP film and tape and adhesives applications (including both unfilled and mineral filled grades). Its applications include TPO automotive exterior and interior parts, low total carbon emission, TPO roofing membranes and PP outdoor furniture. It is also effective for use in FR systems also in combination with SABO®STAB UV 119. Recommended dosage for SABO®STAB UV 228 50PP is 0.1 to 3%, depending upon the application. It is listed on the ECL, EINECS, ENCS, IECSC, PICCS, NZIoC, NECI, AICS, DSL and TSCA chemical inventories. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
