KBM 602 by Shin-Etsu is N-2-(Aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane. Acts as coupling agent. It acts as a sort of intermediary which bonds organic materials to inorganic materials.

It improves mechanical strength, moisture, chemical resistance, and electrical properties.
Individual molecules of silane coupling agent contain two types of reactive functional groups: amino groups and alkoxy groups, which have different reactivity and thus bond with both organic and inorganic materials.
KBM 602 is extensively used in adhesives to improve adhesion.
KBM 602 has applications in encapsulates.
