Tylovis® PVA 18

Tylovis® PVA 18 by Shin-Etsu is based on polyvinyl alcohol. Acts as an adhesion promoter and dispersion agent. Reduces the surface tension of water and increases the workability as well as pumpability of mortars. Used in dry mixed mortars in combination with gypsum or cement as a cobinder. Because of its high adhesive strength to paper, is especially recommended for gypsum-based adhesives, jointing, and trowelling compounds, which are used to install plasterboard walls as well as ceilings. The recommended concentration of Tylovis® PVA 18 should be 0.5 – 1.5 % by weight, calculated on the dry mix mortar.
