Kristalex™ 3105SD

Kristalex™ 3105SD by Synthomer is a water-white, highly color stable, low molecular weight hydrocarbon resin with low organic volatile content. It is made from pure aromatic monomers. It offers good thermal stability and an intermediate softening point. In EVA-based hot melt adhesives, it shows compatibility with EVA grades with up to 30% vinyl acetate and is useful in formulating low-color, low odor adhesives with good low-temperature properties. In styrenic block copolymer-based adhesives, it associates with the styrenic end blocks producing higher room-temperature cohesion without affecting tack and adhesion properties. It is compatible with oils, waxes, alkyds, plastics, and elastomers as well as styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and SBR block copolymers, neoprene, nitrile, polybutadiene, acrylic polymers, chlorinated rubber, EVA resins, styrenated, vinylated-, drying oil alkyds, rosin ester resins and ethyl-hydroxy-ethylcellulose (EHEC). Kristalex™ 3105SD is used in sealants, building & construction hotmelts, heat seal lacquers, automotive, hygiene adhesives, packaging and specialty tapes. It is suitable for food contact applications. It has a shelf life of 3 years.
