Polyrex

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Synthomer
Polyrex by Synthomer is a pale, partially polymerized (dimerized) rosin used as a tackifier. Offers a higher softening point, higher viscosity (molten and in solution), much greater resistance to oxidation, and complete freedom from crystallizing when in solid form or in solution compared with pale grades of regular wood, gum, or tall oil rosins. Exhibits high softening point, good oxidation resistance and non-crystallinity. Compatible with natural oils, fatty acids, natural and most synthetic rubbers, polyterpenes, waxes and ethylcellulose. Also compatible with natural resins, most alkyd resins, maleic modified resins, phenolic modified resins, polymerized oils, coal tar, asphaltum, vegetable pitches, shellac and EVA resins. Polyrex is used for the preparation of synthetic resins, floor tile, rubber compounds and various adhesives.
