C5 aliphatic hydrocarbon resin based on piperylene. Acts as a tackifier. Offers low color as well as odor, narrow molecular weight distribution and low polarity. Also has medium to very high softening points and excellent compatibility as well as solubility. Used in pressure sensitive adhesives based on SIS as well as natural rubber, hot melt adhesives and butyl sealants.
