Water washed, delaminated, high brightness, engineered kaolin clay. Acts as an excellent functional filler, TiO2 extender and rheology modifier. Provides excellent opacity, correct viscosity and increased adhesive strength. Prevents slumping and fills voids, while providing visual contrast to easily identify where the material has been applied. It has high surface area, high aspect ratio and platy structure. Helps reduce cracking upon drying and provides barrier properties at low use levels. Aids in the dispersion of the other ingredients by providing the correct amount of shear during mixing. Excellent choice for cost effective systems. Applications in adhesive formulations.
