PowerSorb™ 3000 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a 2, 4-dihydroxybenzophenone-based UV absorber effective in the 280-320 nm range. It prevents yellowing and is available in off-white powder form. It improves weather fastness, optical and mechanical properties of transparent extruded sheets. It is soluble in ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl methacrylate, N-methylpyrrolidone and styrene. It is compatible with polystyrene, polymethacrylates, alkyd, epoxy, unsaturated polyester and phenolic resins. PowerSorb™ 3000 is suitable for rubber-based adhesive application.
