Mergal® V615

Mergal® V615 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is a cost efficient, liquid O-formal compound primarily used as in-can preservative. It provides an excellent headspace protection and is highly stable at elevated processing temperatures for use in systems with a pH range 3-12. This grade is chloromethyl and methylisothiazolinone free, heavy metals free 6-dihydroxy-2,5-dioxahexan. It is used as bactericide & fungicide in aqueous adhesives and sealants. It offers broad action spectrum against bacteria, yeasts and mushrooms and compatibility with aqueous polymer emulsions such as pure acrylic, styrene acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and copolymers, polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate-ethylene pressure polymers, starch and starch derivatives. Recommended dosage level of Mergal® V615 is 0.05-0.2%.
