N-(2-hydroxyethel) 12-hydroxystearamide. A brittle, wax-like solid formed from the reaction of an amine with hydroxystearic acid. Acts as a release agent. It is extremely resistant to acids and alkalies. Provides excellent slip and lubrication properties. Used in hot melt adhesives.
