BMI -1700

BMI -1700 by Designer Molecules is an amorphous, low molecular weight, imide-extended bismaleimide oligomer. Exhibits good adhesion to a variety of substrates, excellent low pH hydrolytic resistance and thermal stability. It can be homo-cured via UV or free radical initiators to form tough, hydrophobic, cross-linked polyimides. Can form room-temperature-stable solutions in a variety of free radical reactive diluents. It is soluble in many common solvents such as toluene, xylene, NMP, etc. BMI -1700 is recommended for use in film adhesives, pre-applied adhesives and adhesion to metals. Listed in TSCA.
