BMI -5000 (50% in Toluene)

Imide-Extended Bismaleimide Oligomer (50% Toluene). Exhibits excellent toughness in the cured state with an intermediate cross-link density. It can be cured thermally, via UV irradiation, or in the presence of free-radical initiators to form a tough thermoset. It is an amber, waxy solid at room temperature and can be cast as a hot melt or from solution to form pliable, non-tacky films. Can also be supplied as a solid slab, powdered solid or in alternative solvents. When used as a base resin, it can produce films that are tough, flexible and demonstrate good peel strength. Recommended for use in film adhesives and thermally resistant adhesives.
