Polyether triol. It is a reactive triol. It is manufactured by ethoxylation or propoxylation of a polyhydric alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. The polyhydric alcohols used are ethylene glycol, di-propylene glycol, di-ethylene glycol, and glycerol. Sucrose is also used as polyhydric alcohol in the preparation of polyether polyols for the production of polyurethane foam. Can be used in the manufacture of flexible molded foam.
