SR 585

An acrylic ester with a long chain aliphatic backbone. It is hydrophobic and offers good adhesion, good water resistance as well as good weatherability. SR585 exhibits low shrinkage but high flexibility and high impact strength. It does not support high temperatures, localized heat sources (drum or band heaters), oxidizing conditions, freezing conditions, direct sunlight, ultraviolet radiation, and inert gas blanketing. It is incompatible to strong oxidizers, strong reducers, free radical initiators, inert gases, and oxygen scavengers. Used to formulate radiation-curable adhesives.
