Non-ionic polyol. It is produced by sequential addition of two or more alkylene oxides to a low molecular weight organic compound. Due to its unique molecular structure, it is more soluble in cold water than hot water. Moreover, it is relatively non-toxic and stable in acidic solutions. Soluble in aromatic- & chlorinated solvents, acetone, ethyl- & isopropyl alcohol, butyl cellosolve, butyl carbitol, hexylene glycol and propylene glycol.
