Culminal™ MHEC 40000 P1 by Ashland is a non-ionic cellulose ether. It provides pseudoplastic behavior and thixotropy. It is used as a thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending aid, water-retention agent, binder, adhesion promoter and emulsion stabilizer. It shows compatibility with many surfactants and polymers such as starch, guar and alginates. Culminal™ MHEC 40000 P1 is used in construction industry (tile adhesives), tobacco industry (adhesives for cigarette paper and cigar seams) and non-woven fabrics.
