Suprasec® 2244

High-end prepolymer. It is an established isocyanate which is renowned for its mechanical performance capabilities and has a medium open time of around one hour. Suprasec® 2244 is tough yet elastic with the ability to flex with substrates as they move, expand as well as contract and polyurethane adhesive creates long lasting bonds with engineering materials such as concrete, plastic, metal. It formulates a polyurethane-based structural 1k wood adhesive which offers exceptionally strong bonding of wood, superior ageing properties, excellent reactivity with water naturally occurring in wood and good, deep wetting as well as uniform penetration properties creating a large bonding interface. This MDI-based resin is the ideal raw material to use in the manufacture of adhesives for load bearing timber systems such as structural joists and beams. It is also used in furniture fabrication, marine sector and across the construction sector in panel applications.
