HSP Distance with Capa® Monomer: 0.0
Premium grade high molecular weight linear polyester derived from caprolactone monomer. Exhibits outstanding flexibility even at low temperatures, excellent strength, abrasion resistance and a lasting outdoor performance for polyurethane materials. Provides strong adhesion on difficult and sensitive substrates and possesses low temperature activation, good hydrolytic stability and fast penetration into the substrate. It shows higher clarity in the melt phase (60°C) than standard Capa™ thermoplastics. It has good green strength and an ability to react with isocyanates as it has some OHV. It is compatible with a wide range of common thermoplastics and is soluble in several common solvents. It is a low-melting crystalline polymer that is used as hot melt adhesive. Applications include toe puff and shoe counter components in footwear, scatter coat interlining adhesives, binders for non-wovens and structural and laminating adhesives for the automotive industry. It can also be used in applications such as structural adhesives, textile bonding, bookbinding and biodegradable packaging.
