Poval VM-17 by Japan Vam Poval is stable, water-soluble, hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It shows good chemical reactivity, membrane formation such as high film transparency, high strength, excellent gas barrier, clouding prevention and anti-static electricity. It possesses excellent surface activation, emulsion and dispersion properties. It has a hydroxyl group and exhibits excellent adhesive force to hydrophilic surfaces such as paper and wood. Poval VM-17 is used as an ingredient in vinylon synthetic fibers. Recommended for paper- and remoistenable adhesives.
