KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 by Kuraray is a medium hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It is used as an adhesive promoter.

It exhibits excellent film forming properties, high tensile strength, elasticity, resistance against organic solvents and dispersing power.
It provides good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments.
It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoisten able adhesives in the paper processing industry.
Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology.
KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 is used in postage stamps and labels.
