KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 by Kuraray is a medium hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It is used as an adhesive promoter.
  • It exhibits excellent film forming properties, high tensile strength, elasticity, resistance against organic solvents and dispersing power.
  • It provides good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments.
  • It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoisten able adhesives in the paper processing industry.
  • Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology.
  • KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 is used in postage stamps and labels.
