KURARAY POVAL™ 28-98 S2

KURARAY POVAL™ 28-98 S2 is polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade by Kuraray. It is a water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Exhibits uniform chemical structure, good cohesion, good adhesion to fiber, fillers and pigments. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 28-98 S2 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is used in postage stamps and labels. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation. The shelf life is 12 months.
