LIR™ by Kuraray is viscous liquid rubber based on isoprene. It can be used as a reactive plasticizer. Co-vulcanizes with solid rubber such as NR, SBR, BR and EPDM using sulfur or peroxide. This grade crosslinks by reaction of its functional groups using metal compounds, epoxy compounds, isocyanate compounds, amine compounds and by UV radiation. LIR™ is used in hot-melt & water-based adhesives and sealants.
