Rhenosin® P 020970 by Lanxess is novolak phenol formaldehyde resin. Used as a reinforcing resin in solid rubbers for oil-resistant seals. Possesses efficiency as a hardener in NR, SBR, BR and EPDM to increase mix viscosity and in NBR to decrease mix viscosity. Can be used in combination with a hardener to reduce scorch time and tensile strength, change vulcanization pattern, and increase elongation at break. The dosage level of Rhenosin® P 020970 is 5-15 phr.
