Pearlbond™ 360 EXP by Lubrizol is plasticizer-free, breathable polyether based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for advanced thermobonding applications. It is supplied in form of translucent pellets. It offers excellent flexibility, elasticity, resistance to hydrolysis and micro-organisms, chemical resistance, high breathability and easy processing. Exhibits high impact resistance, good elastic recovery and absorption of vibrations. Its low activation temperature (≤ 120°C) allows it to be combined with delicate fabrics because it preserves delicate substrates from being damaged. It exhibits outstanding adhesion to fabrics (cotton, elastane/polyamide and polyester). It can also be combined with more rigid resins or reactive systems to increase the flexibility and elastomeric behavior (compounds) with a breathability improvement. Its durability is also increased thanks to its good wash resistance. This UV-stabilized material has good recovery properties that provide optimum stretch and recovery while maintaining top performance features over time. Pearlbond™ 360 EXP is used in hot melt adhesives applications. Suitable applications include textiles, apparel (seam tapes, heat-transfer labels), footwear and conveyor belts. It can easily be converted into high-quality film via the T-die and extrusion blown film processes.
