Aerafin™ 180 Polymer

Aerafin™ 180 Polymer by Synthomer is a propylene-based olefin polymer. It has a balance of processing temperature, cohesive- and tensile strength. It is compatible with polyolefin polymers, waxes and hydrocarbon tackifying resins. It exhibits low color and odor compared to block copolymer and EVA-based adhesives. It shows good thermal stability and low-temperature properties for adhesion in freezing conditions. It shows good adhesion with excellent peel strength in the formulation. It enables a robust adhesive system with a broad processing window and sprayability at temperatures as low as 130°C. It is a partial replacement for m-PE and requires lower tackifier loading than with most SBC-based formulations. Aerafin™ 180 Polymer is recommended for use in building & construction hot-melt, automotive, woodworking, mattresses, filters, hygiene- and packaging adhesives.
