Lignin - Waste Product to Adhesive

This editorial examines the use of lignin in the adhesive industry. Lignin is a low cost waste product from the pulp and paper industry. Over the last decade there has been an enormous effort to develop lignin based adhesive. These have been explored in many large volume applications such as floor coverings and binders for composite wood products.

Good article . What concern is whether Lignin based can be less heath risk than the phenol one as it has to go thru formaldehyde process anyway
