Modern cyanoacrylates: Breaking records, then sticking them back together?

In May 2009, Henkel's latest Superglue formulation claimed the odd-sounding record of the "heaviest vehicle ever lifted with a commercially available glue". This achievement reflects the current capability of cyanoacrylates. Over recent years, Henkel, and its subsidiary Loctite have continued the evolution of this old favourite, but they have not been alone in driving the technology.
