It seems that we are finding the prefix,“bio-“, in many words. The terms biopolymer, biodegradable, and bioadhesive are confusing. Are all biopolymers biodegradable? And are all biodegradable polymers classified as biopolymers? What then is a bioadhesive? The answers may surprise you. They are the subject of this editorial.
