BENTONE® 54 by Elementis acts as a rheology modifier. It is an organic derivative of bentonite clay. It is designed for low to intermediate polarity organic systems. It provides increased viscosity & thixotropy, improved flow & leveling and prevents pigment settling during storage. It controls sagging on vertical surfaces & penetration on porous substrates and prevents syneresis in thixotropic systems. It is suitable for formulating adhesives and underbody sealants. BENTONE® 54 has a shelf life of 4 years.
