Matrimid® 5218

Matrimid® 5218 by Huntsman is a soluble thermoplastic polyimide powder. Possesses very high glass transition temperature and excellent high temperature properties for use in structural composites and adhesives. Offers excellent adhesion on various substrates and excellent thermal performance. It is soluble in a variety of common solvents (i.e. CH2Cl2, CHCl3, THF, DMAC, DMF, NMP). Matrimid® 5218 is used in exterior vehicle (OEM), interior vehicle (OEM), vehicle assembly (OEM), battery cover sealing & battery assembly, cable sealing, motor & magnet bonding, potting & encapsulating, assembly, thermally & electrically conductive, household appliance assembly, sporting goods, medical device assembly, aircraft and aerospace, marine, rail, recreational vehicle, truck, sport and leisure.
