Pearlstick™ 45-80/16

Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 by Lubrizol is an elastic, linear, polycaprolactone copolyester based aromatic TPU with a small amount of anti-adherent in the formulation. It has a very low crystallization rate and very medium/low thermoplasticity level. It is suitable for bonding processes that do not require heat activation (cold bonding). Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 is used for the production of solvent-based adhesives. It allows the production of adhesives with a very long open-time, which can be used without requiring heat activation. Its addition to other different types of Pearlstick™ increases their open-times. A polyfunctional isocyanate is added to improve the heat-resistance and the strength of the joints. Recommended for footwear industry and primers.
