Applicable Base Polymer Properties

Acrylic thermoplastics offer an adhesive with excellent overall performance properties. Acrylic resins are tremendously versatile due to the large number of different monomers and resins available. Acrylic adhesives can provide bonds ranging from flexible and tough to hard and rigid depending on the formulation. Acrylic adhesives inherently have very good UV and oxidative stability and are generally preferred for outdoor applications. Solvent or hot melt based acrylic adhesives provide better chemical and heat resistance than water borne acrylics.

Resulting Properties

acResin UV crosslinkable acrylic hot-melt polymers are ideal for pressure sensitive adhesives for permanent and/or temporary paper labels, tape and specialty applications. The acResin technology combines the advantages of acrylic copolymers with those of hot melt processing. Free of water and solvents, these adhesives have many significant advantages over conventional adhesives in terms of processing and environmental impact.
