MIDDLETON, MASS. -- The Bostik Flooring Group introduced at Surfaces 2007 in Las Vegas its new DURABOND®

D-321TM Moisture-Cure Urethane Wood Flooring Adhesive. The one-part, trowel-applied formulation does not contain any water; once cured it is waterproof and is not adversely affected by exposure to moisture, water or alkalinity. D-321 possesses elastomeric characteristics, allowing the adhesive to move with wood as it expands and contracts.

D-321 contains Bostik's BLOCKADETM antimicrobial protection, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold or mildew on the surface of the dried adhesive, and enables the dried adhesive to resist stains caused by mold.

D-321 adheres to all engineered, acrylic impregnated, solid plank-flat milled, shorts, bamboo and parquet hardwood flooring designed for glue-down applications. Contractors also can use D-321 to install plywood, ceramic tile, marble and stone inlays for light commercial and residential applications.

"DURABOND D-321 spreads easier than most moisture-cure urethane wood flooring adhesives, and it cleans up faster when wet," said Robert McNamara, Bostik Flooring Group's National Sales & Marketing Manager.

With an open time of up to 180 minutes, D-321 under typical conditions allows for light traffic within 8 to 10 hours of application and normal traffic within 24 hours. D-321 is V.O.C. compliant and has a difficult-to-detect odor. White in color, DURABOND D-321 Moisture-Cure Urethane Wood Flooring Adhesive is available immediately in 4-gallon pails.
