Brenntag North America, Inc., a part of the Brenntag Group, announces the opening of its new coatings and construction technology and innovation center in Allentown, PA. The center is the latest addition to Brenntag North America’s technology and innovation hub which also includes facility for the food and nutrition, personal care and home care industries. The new center will support customers in the United States and Canada looking out for coatings and construction formulation opportunities with technical solutions and inventive ideas.
Improved Formulation Expertise for Customers

The new center is run by an experienced team of industry experts and chemists and fully equipped to handle the industry’s latest formulation challenges and new application development in the adhesives, coatings, construction, elastomers and sealants market segments. In addition, the center will provide raw material evaluations, product performance testing and physical, subjective and visual testing.
The firm’s expanded applications will significantly bolster the service level of the dedicated North American coatings and construction sales team which consists of technical commercial experts. Brenntag aim is to provide complete solutions to the customers by connecting them with various chemistries of the suppliers.
New Technical Capabilities at the Innovation Hub
The new center is headed by Robert Souerwine, technical director of coatings and construction. The company’s shift to the Brenntag’s innovation hub in Allentown allowed the firm to redesign and utilize a larger, more efficient space, with state-of-the-art equipment. Brenntag’s will improve design and testing of coatings and construction applications with the help of new technical capabilities and help customers in creating unique solutions to fit the rapidly changing market trends.
