DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Adjusts Pricing on DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) PVA/PVOH

WILMINGTON, Del. -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) announced a price increase of $0.08/lb for all grades of DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH) sold outside the United States and a $0.08/lb surcharge in the United States, effective Sept. 15, 2005.

Continuing unprecedented and sustained increases in energy, and petrochemical feedstock and freight costs were cited as significant reasons for the increase. DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol is used in a variety of industries including textiles, paper and adhesives.
