FEICA, the Association of the European Adhesive and Sealant Industry, and EURADH (European Adhesion Societies) have announced the second biannual Adhesion Innovation Award 2020. The applications are invited from young researchers working in adhesion science and have published an outstanding work.
The award aspires to stimulate the interactions between industrial and scientific activities.The scope and possible topics are available on their dedicated websites.
Attracting Young Scientists Across Europe
The Adhesion Innovation Award 2020 are expected to attract more young scientists across Europe. The first edition of the Award attracted scientists from five European countries; however, this time FEICA is expecting contributions from many more through direct contact with universities across the continent.
Encouraging Innovations in Adhesives and Sealants Industry
Philip Bruce, FEICA’s Secretary General, stated, “
FEICA continues to support the adhesives and sealants industry by encouraging further innovations in our exciting sector. Our industry makes a multitude of everyday products possible and offers stimulating careers as a result. It is also proving to be of great importance to our increasingly circular economy, which many of last year's entries demonstrated.”
The prize, funded by FEICA, will be awarded to the winner at EURADH in Antibes and a certificate will be presented at FEICA 2020 in Warsaw.
The EURADH adhesion societies consist of Associação Portuguesa de Adesão e Adesivos (Portugal), Grupo Espanol de Adhesion y Adhesivos (Spain), DECHEMA (Germany), Société Française du Vide (France), Society for Adhesion and Adhesives (UK) and De bond voor materialenkennis (The Netherlands).
