H.B. Fuller Finalizes Acquisition of Adecol

Effectively Deliver Adhesives in Mercosur Region

Adecol works closely with customers to develop innovative, high-quality hot melt, reactive and polymer-based adhesive solutions for customers in the packaging, converting and assembly markets. Based in Guarulhos, Brazil, the addition of this business supports H.B. Fuller’s growth strategy for emerging markets, as it will enable the company to fully leverage its broad-based technology portfolio and effectively deliver specialty adhesive products to key customers in the Mercosur region.

Jim Owens, president and CEO, H.B. Fuller:

“With this acquisition, we gain a dedicated team with strong customer relationships and local manufacturing capabilities. We will work closely with the Adecol team to further enhance partnerships with regional customers and to develop, produce and sell new and better products in this strategically important geography.”

“The combined businesses enhance the value we bring to customers because we will be able to provide a wider range of solutions to our customers, including a broader product line, faster service times and more customer support.”

As was previously disclosed, Adecol generated nearly USD $40 million in revenue for the 2016 fiscal year.
